Is anyone wearing/did wear a corset?

Original post by bethsiar

I was thinking about buying a corset to wear under my wedding dress, but someone at work said it would be hot and uncomfortable. I really like the way corsets look etc, but if that's true then it might not be worth it?
Anyone know?

I wore one for my wedding and was very comfortable. I then had to wear one for my friend's wedding (as a BM) and got bruises! She had us wear elizabethan dresses with corsets that were laced to make our waists about 3 inches in circumference. That was not comfortable but I'd definitely recommend getting one custom-made for your wedding day. I was very happy with mine.

I did & it was great!

Are these real, boned corsets you girls are talking about? Are they comfortable? I bought a corset online a while ago (a feeble but expensive attempt at waist training) and I can't wear it with anything even though it was 'custom' made to my measurements. It's just too uncomfortable... I would definitely wear one under my gown if I could find one that was comfortable...

I'm confused? What is the difference between a corset and a long-line bra? Pros & Cons?

Im not. Since my dress is Corsett Style, I don't need one. I will however, have them sew in a bra in my dress.
