that won't be able to make it to your wedding? I'm worried a lot of people won't be able to because it's on Labor Day weekend. Should I worry about it? It's kind of upseting when you find out that people can't make it. We found out the first set of people that can't make it because they're going to Disney with their kids that weekend. We haven't even sent out invitations yet. They called and told my FMIL after they received our Save-the-Date magnet. I know this is only a couple of people so far, but the more I think about it, the more I think that there will be a lot of people that won't be able to make it. What do you think? Thanks!

Is anyone worried about the amount of people...
I had the same fears. We're getting maried on the Friday of Memorial Day weekend 2003. But you know it will only turn out that a few people won't be able to make. And since you sent out save the date magnets others will know ahead of time. As my friend told me the REAL people you want there will be there. I hope that helps you!! Good Luck!
it has started to happen to me too...people are hemming and hawing...like my relatives in Connecticut...how will they get here (you would think its California), but to go through NYC is unheard of!!
Oh Well...I figured it out...my worst case scenario is 146...4 below my minimum (but it will be covered by the vendors....worst case scenario on the other extreme is 190...lol...
I just hope the nos caome in first....wishful thinking

That is why the Save the Dates are a good thing. I found out that both my brother and sister-in-law have to ask for their vacation time in January for the year. I sent out my STDs 9 months early because of this. I found that people who I didn't think would be able to make it, now are thinking about coming because they have a lot of time to plan.
People also seem to book vacations earlier now than in the past. My sister got married July 4th weekend years ago, and many people didn't come because they had already booked vacations.

There is nothing you can do about it. Do dont stress about it. You sent out your save the dates, people who havent made plans yet now know your date and will plan accordingly.
I know how disappointing it is to get that first no. Mine was from an out of town friend that couldnt wait to come home for out wedding. Turns out they had a vacation booked for that weekend. You will celebrate with your guests that make it.

I agree with IrishTracy, anybody that you really want to be there will.
Yabbobay, are you aloud to count your vendors towards your total? We were told that we could not count our vendors or kids towards our total. I wonder if this is something that only my hall does?

Thats too funny! Most of my friends have to cut down their guest lists, me, i am basically pulling people off the street to come. My nightmare is that everyone responds no! I am so scared! We are getting married the 9th of november and thats veterans day weekend...not a big getaway thing but still a 3 day weekend. So i know how you guys feel!
I cannot pay the discounted price for vendors and kids if I am under, but if I am below the minimum and am required to pay for it...those meals go to the kids and the vendors...
