My FSIL is getting married this dec and my future inlaws talked her into getting married here in ny instead of where she lives. So FH and I said we help look around since we are planing our wedding and we felt we could be a help.
So if your wedding is about 35-50 ppl what hall did you and FH pick?

We're having ours at 21 Main in Sayville. Their upstairs room is for about 35 to 40. You have to guarantee fifty for the downstairs. The food is great and it's very classy inside and out. They don't mention the brunch package, which is what we got so if she's interested in a daytime wedding have her ask about that. It's much cheaper than their usual menu and it's alot of food.

I booked Verdi's Of Westbury , we have a few friends there.. You can have between 45-50, if you call ask for John tell him Michelle C in Florida sent you...
Also you can go to Leonard's Of Great Neck they will take a party of 50..

Some others I checked out were the Irish Coffee Pub, The Three Village Inn, The Gatsby, The Riverview. They also accomodate smaller groups.

Try the Metropolitan - smaller space but still 1 event at a time and they have great prices. You can also try the Main Maiden Inn and Milleridge Inn - the restaurant has back rooms that can hold various party sizes.

i had my shower at Carltun on the Park in east meadow and we had about 45 people. gorgeous and classy room and pretty affordable (from what my mom is willing to tell me!) HTH! good luck!

Bellport Country Club and also The Bavarian Inn. Oh yaeh and the Irish Coffee Pub in East islip.. The coffee pub has AWESOME food. Call them and check it out!

tellers in islip. i am having my e-party there and when we were booking they told us that they do small weddings... its really elegant and has GREAT food... HTH

30 people. We did not want a 'restaurant' type.
We booked the George Washington Manor. They are several banquets rooms to accomodate up to over 150 or 170 guests.
My banquet room is for 25 to 40 people. There are several rooms for above that number.
They have a private chapel which I am using.

Under 'facilities' they have photos of all the banquet rooms and photos of the chapel.
We booked it on the spot when we checked it.

i was going to suggest this place.....as well as Verdi's of Whitestone...i also had my eparty at the Whitehouse in Whitestone they have a seperate room that holds up to 125 but will accomodate small parties
