So, we are thinking about our honeymoon... Here is what we are thinking we want:
Nice Beaches Not a lot of kids Casinos Good Food Great Service- getting wined and dined! Nice rooms- jacuzzi/ room service I would like the option of staying in a hut on the beach for 2 nights or so- is this possible?
We want the Carribean because we can only go for 7 nights and don't want to spend a lot of time travelling- don't want to go to Mexico, Bahamas, or Turks and Caicos ( just because we want somewhere neither of us has been)
What do you think?

Re: Is Aruba the right place for us???
I went to the Riu Aruba in December for my birthday and we loved it. What was nice was it was all inclusive. I think Aruba is exactly what you're looking for. Some other nice resorts if you're not looking for all inclusive are the Radisson and The Renaissance and the Hyatt I think.

we're going in 9 days! Staying at the Radisson. We're looking forward to beautiful beaches and relaxing. Not sure if there are places with huts in Aruba.

Aruba is our fav place in the entire world.....we got engaged there last year and my fam has gone there every year since I was little....
Everything except the huts you will find here....It is amazing!!!
If you are looking to stay in one of the huts on the water..I heard tahiti is the place to go!
but ARUBA IS AMAZING.....it really is the best place ever!!!!

Im not sure that you will find huts and a casino. Is one more important than the other?

Re: Is Aruba the right place for us???
My fiancee & I went to Aruba last fall & stood @ The Radisson and although we loved it, I must say that the trip we just took blew Aruba out of the water.
We just returned from St Martin and we stood on the French side at an exquisite boutique hotel called Le Petit. It is steps from the beach located in Grand Case (the 'gourmet capital of the Carribean). Your terrace (no extra cost for an 'oceanview room - they all have it) overlooks a gorgeous bay with mountains encircling it. The staff is also lovely & the rooms are impeccable.
Check them out on Trip Advisor & their site @ www.lepetithotel.com
Although we loved Aruba, it got a little boring after a week or so. St Martin was great for us because as a whole the island has a lot more to do & Le Petit is SUPER romantic & intimate.
The casinos are also pretty much dead @ night in Aruba, while St Martin was a bit more lively. Also the beaches in St Martin blow Aruba's away. What is cool about St Martin is you can also take a boat trip to Anguilla (Shoal Bay is a MUST see -- nicest beach I've ever seen) as well as St Barth's.
But that being said, if you do go to Aruba, make sure you check out Madame Janettes -- that is a meal we STILL talk about. I'd be happy as well to email you pix from Aruba as well as St Martin for your comparison if you'd like.
It really depends what your travel style is & what you had in mind. Hope this helps!
