OK... so I fell in love with this dress.... (see below)
But I only like it in black with a lighter color like champagne under the lace over lay? Do you think that is ok for a Saturday afternoon in October? Or is black ridiculous... my issue is... I was engaged once before a million moons ago and was going to have black bridesmaid dresses for that too... I was really set on a DARK purple but I can't find anything I like in the color I want...
I think it is fine. You can make their bouquets all purple flowers to incorporate the purple. Or you can use ANY color of flowers since pretty much anything will go! I wanted to use black BM dresses but FH said no

I think black is fine I love that dress it is soo pretty. I only wish my bridal party would all look good in something like that. I am going black too.

Yeah I was nervous running it by FH but he said he thought it was elegant!!! I was kinda surprised I thought he was going to hate it.

coming from someone who only wears black and will have major anxiety on wedding day wearing white... i say GORGEOUS!!! love it!!!! i would have done something like this but my wedding is july.. go for it! its so pretty!!

I've been in 3 weddings where we wore black -- and two were in July. I think black is fine. And the bridesmaids usually really appreciate it -- because it's a flattering color.
I LOVE the dress you picked. I actually want it for my wedding, but am concerned about the bottom of it and not flattering all figures.

thats almost the same dress as i ordered! except its jim hjelm but basically the same.
we ordered it in black, the bm's have ivory underneath and my moh has deep red. it looks gorgeous!

But that is a great idea giving the MOH a different color underneath!!! I think I may steal that from you!!!

i wore a similar dress for my friends wedding. its in my album. and it was chocolate brown with pink underneath. it looked great and would be nice for october as well. check it out. :)
