when you are married and combine the policy, or is it more. We were thinking about combinung our insurance for one bill, but only if it saves us money.

Re: Is Car Insurance Cheaper
We're under one plan now with Geico and they said once we get married we get another discount. We also got a multiple car discount b/c we have 2 cars on one policy. What we did though was put me as the primary driver on the new car (03 Maxima) b/c and put FH as the primary driver on the old car (94 Maxima). We pay $1800 a yr for both cars. The Maxima has full coverage (with all the extras) and the Sentra only has liability.

I will never drive DH's car though since it is a stick, and he won't teach me. He loves his truck like a child, and if I drove the monstor I would definitly crash it. SO would we ahve to pay for me to be able to drive it even thought I never would??

Re: Is Car Insurance Cheaper
I can't imagine it not being cheaper to combine because all the insurers I've dealt with give multicar discounts.
The only way I could see it not helping is if one of you has a very bad driving record, maybe then it would affect both rates negatively. Not sure about that.

its cheaper - both because you're married (and therefore more responsible ) and because of multi-car discounts.
