IS CLOSING THIS BAD FOR EVERYONE?

Original post by Suzanne

I had to write these nimrods a letter telling them that I was out of work for 6 months... So i write the letter and send it in,, at that point we have completed the needs list required for the commitment.. so I call the A$$hole on friday and he says 'oh i was just gonna call you' HOW MANY FRIGGIN TIMES ARE YOU GONNA SAY THAT LIAR!!! so anyway now they tell me I need a letter saying WHY I was out of work..

So just so we are clear these people are to stupid to have asked me the when what and where at one time????? This is getting rediculous... I feel like we are NEVER gonna close.. Now they say next week.. which I know is a LIE and to boot its Feb and I work for a retail company that does alot of business now so i work EVERY DAY in feb.. so its going to make moving impossible.

I feel so terrible.. I just want to walk away and start fresh with a better bank.

Ours went very smoothly so it's not always the case that it's difficult. I'm so sorry you have to deal with all this cr*p, it's stressful enough without all the BS. Hang in there.

I'm with Liz here...I feel for you, Suzanne. But, ours went very smoothly too. And we did not have to write a single letter for anything.

My stomache is hurting just from reading this thread. Just thinking when I buy a home all the letters that will need to be written just to explain the 193047373 times I have moved...LOL.

Sue I am sorry its taking so long and its fustrating. BUT I BET that its all worth it at the end. Good Luck!! Hope everything works out asap for you.

i also had the closing from hell when i bought my condo. at the time, the market was starting to pick up, so i think the seller thought if she aggravated the $hit out of me, i would walk away and she could sell it for more. i wouldn't give in, so i stayed tough.

the day of the closing, i discover that the condo is owned by this woman and her brother. no biggie - well, the brother is going through a nasty divorce and doesn't want any of the proceeds in his name. since the condo was owned 50/50 by them, my lawyer will not give 100% of the proceeds to the woman. we had to wait while the brother called his divorce attorney to decide how best to handle this! HELLO!!!! you knew you were undergoing a major financial transaction - you wait until that morning to consult your attorney????? plus all of the paperwork didn't have my middle initital, but for some reason i signed w/ my middle initial, so papers had to be redrawn so i could properly sign. it was hellish!!!!!

but in the end, it was all worth it!!!!

hang in there suzanne!!!!
