I had to write these nimrods a letter telling them that I was out of work for 6 months... So i write the letter and send it in,, at that point we have completed the needs list required for the commitment.. so I call the A$$hole on friday and he says 'oh i was just gonna call you' HOW MANY FRIGGIN TIMES ARE YOU GONNA SAY THAT LIAR!!! so anyway now they tell me I need a letter saying WHY I was out of work..
So just so we are clear these people are to stupid to have asked me the when what and where at one time????? This is getting rediculous... I feel like we are NEVER gonna close.. Now they say next week.. which I know is a LIE and to boot its Feb and I work for a retail company that does alot of business now so i work EVERY DAY in feb.. so its going to make moving impossible.
I feel so terrible.. I just want to walk away and start fresh with a better bank.

yep, it's normal.. I had to write 328430 dif letters.. from explaining why they had my address from 20 years ago on my credit report to why I had deposited so much money into the acct. soo many quetsions and stupid ass letters lol

Ours went very smoothly so it's not always the case that it's difficult. I'm so sorry you have to deal with all this cr*p, it's stressful enough without all the BS. Hang in there.

Suzanne, it's SUCH a pain and mind you, I personally KNOW the mort. broker.. he's a friend of hte family. it's just that underwriting is strict and when you want 'A' paper, that's whatcha gotta do.. TRUST Me.. it's WORTH it.. =)

the mort. company requests all that info..
I had to write several letters.. all explaining why we make what we make, (could you imagine), why we had such large deposits into our acct (wedding) and also we had cash stashed in our vault which we had to explain as well.. soo many explanations.. also, on our credit reports, we both had ALL of our revious addresses listed.. we needed a letter to explain from which period to which period we lived there.. it's insane..

We had to write TONS of letters since DH owns his own buisness, and then I left my job prior to closing (I thought we were done, so I quit my hellish job-which pushed back closing once again). We grew to love those calls from our broker telling us he needed 'one more thing and then its done...we are so close to closing....you will be in the house next week....' blah blah. He also blamed everything on the banks as in, he was not unorganized (which he was) but the banks do not ask for everything at one time (which they dont). So, long story short, closing suc!ed for us, but in the end it was all worth it
Hang in there! And keep copies of everything you send, that way when they ask you to resend it, you have it all handy and dont have to collect it all over again

THIS IS MY LIFE RIGHT NOW.
Im up to my eyeballs in pwk- my mort guy has been telling me 'youshould close next week' for about a month now. I swear you;d think with the amount of times they do this they would let you know up front what they need from you instead of a few days before you are supposedly supposed to close, meanwhile we are living out of boxes

I'm going through the SAME EXACT THING right now....I've been waiting for 2 months for my mortgage papers to be prepared to be sent out......had to send what seemed like 1,000,000 papers to the stupid people and every time i sent one in - they'd need something different.....but i was dealing with it because it'e a SONYMA mortgage and all of the closing costs are covered through it and we get a great percentage rate.....
So the paperwork was FINALLY sent in last week - I got a message today when i got home that SONYMA won't approve the co-op complex.
So all of this crap was for NOTHING!!!!!!!
I am so angry right now - I am shaking
