is considering....

Maybe pushing my wedding back to 2012 either that or later 2011 like nov or dec. Does anyone know if these are peak prices for weddings? I am going back to school this may for medical assistant and will barely be working at all while going to school. I will graduate feb 25th 2011. And they pretty much guarentee you a job since I will be doing my externship in a doc office they place me and they ususally hire the people who do externships with them. My parents are giving us money towards the wedding as well as my inlaws and I am thinking that since everything is deposits and you make payments through the year I may be able to do late 2011. I guess my whole purpose of this post is to ask are Oct, Nov or Dec peak months to get married?

Re: is considering....

October is a peak month, November is less than October but more than December, and Dec. starts the 'off peak' (Dec. - March).

ETA: always remember to try and negotiate regardless of original price

Oct still is, but Nov and Dec are definitely cheaper times of the year.

Good luck with the med assistant thing

Winter weddings could be gorgeous if you do like blues and whites! if you can do the first week of December the weather should still be pretty good.

November 2011 prices were excellent! But I heard January/February 2012 would be even better. Don't know what type of venue you're looking for, but the best prices I got were at Crest Hollow and the Swan Club. FM me for info

Re: is considering....

You'll still find some high prices for October-but They will drastically drop for November & December!

Re: is considering....

October is still a peak month, November is not a Peak month, but during the Thanksgiving Weekend it is. They do charge Peak prices during this time b/c its become a popular time to tie the knot.

New Years Even Weddings in December are also peak prices, but not the rest of the month.
