pay for the DJ to play during the cocktail hour? There was a post on here for futures brides getting tips from past brides on what they would do different if they could do it all over. Someone said she would have not had the dj play during the CH becuase it was a waste...
Is this true?

My DJ covers the CH, so I'm not paying extra. Even if I had to, I would. THink about the ambiance, the mood...some background music helps people relax and mingle. Hearing loud talk or any talk with no music is a bit boring for my guests...they need music! LOL

I'm paying an extra $195 for live guitar music by my DJ during the CH. I thought it would be a great mood setter. He plays and sings upbeat stuff like Brown Eyed Girl and all that

I am having music at my cocktail hour and I think it is a necessity-- I would talk to your reception venue and see if they provide any music during that time-- you do not want there to be nothing.

My Dj is playing our ceremony, CH and reception music - I want something pretty in the background to listen to while we get our formal pics taken

I'm having them just have music on, not dance music, but just good music.
