The parents of the groom pay for the RD??? Or do we ask them? tell them? or wait for them to mention it?
FH and I would never ask this from them but Im just wondering if all parents of the groom know that its tradition that they do this. FH's sister got married a few years ago but they didnt have the traditional wedding....the wedding was planned in about a month or so. So im not sure if they did this sort of stuff.
Should we plan it assuming we are paying for it?

Don't assume anything! If you want them to pay, then FH has to ask them. Otherwise, assume you are paying for it.

FH asked his mom, would you be helping us with anything? She asked what was customary and he said RD and either limos or flowers... she chose RD and flowers. FH's parents do not have a lot of money so they are doing what they can. I do not feel it should be all up to brides family

traditionally yes, but you shouldn't assume. i would have FH approach them w/ that question.
