Is it bad??

...that I booked my make-up girl last month - but now i dont know if i 'love' how it came out at the trial?? I dont know, maybe its just me - but i feel like I look at everyone else's trial pics and everyone else's seems so much nicer ???

I paid her a $45 deposit which i think was non refundable, and I just booked another trial with a different girl....

anyone else have this issue???

if you wanna know who it it, FM me and Ill explain!

well if you arent happy then its worth trying someone else. I mean it stinks to throw away $45 like that but you will have these pictures for the rest of your life so you should love how you look.

i had something similar happen i showed the girl a pic and she did it exactly like the pic and it looked great when i left the salon but as the night wore on i hated it i ended up looking like a racoon and its not like i was even sweating it off since it was february and freezing out - my advice is to do a trial with someone else and DO NOT BOOK ON THE SPOT you really need to look at it after a few hours to be sure plus take pics and look at the makeup in pics it always looks different than in person

I agree- I didn't book hair or makeup on the spot, and I am glad that's what I did!

I think that if you are not happy, it is worth it to voice your concerns to her and it doesn't hurt to have a second trial somewhere else just to set your mind at ease. I know it's another 50 bucks or so and the lost deposit, but in the grand scheme of the wedding cost, it is really nothing

I did the same thing. I booked someone on the spot, and she is well known. But then afterwards I felt it was not what I wanted and not in my budget. I lost my deposit, but that is okay with me. I'd rather be happy than worry.

I had the same issue with hair. I booked with someone on the spot because she told me two other girls getting married the same day were interested in her. But I didn't love the way my hair came out. I was just nervous I wouldn't find anyone because I did wait a while to start the search LOL. But I booked another trial and LOVED the way my hair came out. I sent the other lady a nice email letting her know I chose to go in a different direction and understood my deposit would be lost. She was nice about it. You have to go with your gut and be happy with ALLof your vendors :)

just wanted to say that you should definitely ask for your deposit back, might as well try. i did and the lady was so gracious and returned my deposit to me.

Re: Is it bad??

No its not bad. You need to be in love with the makeup. My cousin gf is an free lancer makeup artist. I asked her how much she would do my make up and the girls (she is one of the girls) told me nothing. We had a trial makeup at my house with some of the girls and myself. I didnt like how she did mine and the girls and she kinda knew that as well. We did another makeup trial and it came out awesome. But prior to that DF seen the makeup and hated it and said i look like the mac girls. He not fond of makeuo btw. So i get a call from him that he went to a customer house since he a HVAC tech and was speaking with the customer and finds out that she is a makeup artist. So he books me a trial session with her before my second trial with my cousin GF. I ended up canceling with her and staying with my cousin GF. So do a second trial and bring in pics
