Even if you do 10 weeks earlier I dont see how that is bad etiquette. Does she even know the meaning of the word etiquette?

Re: Is it bad etiquette????....

We just got married Memorial Day of this year and I sent out my invites 10 weeks in advance. It's a holiday weekend and wanted to give everyone some notice. We only gave out Save the Dates to immediate family at our engagement party.

I actually think it's common courtesy to give them advanced notice.

ETA: I wouldn't make your RSVP date 2 weeks before the wedding. You will have people that don't send it back. Don't listen to her LOL

I sent mine out the middle of November for February. Has this co-worker of yours ever thrown a wedding?? I hate when people make comments when they dont even know how things work. It sounds fine to me.

its not bad etiquette, but since u are not sending STD's i think u should send them at least 12 weeks b4...a lot of people go away that weekend. Its not 2 late 2 send STD's if your up 2 it.

I didn't send out save the dates either so i'll probably be sending them out like 10 weeks ahead of time. You figure the rsvp should be a month before, and you give them a month to think about it meaning standard is 8 weeks. Don't worry... especially if you have a huge list like me, you'll want that little extra time!

tell your co-worker she's out of the loop.

not rude at all---you are having your wedding on a holiday wknd, therefore you have every right to send them out early!!!

she's rude for telling you its tacky.

hahaha i agree with the above!!!!
