Is it bad luck?

To try on your wedding band before the wedding? My mom and cousin just yelled at me to never try it on again!

then again I always thought if you sat at the corner of a a table you'd never get married...that was just one among many many others

Don't listen to them!! They are trying to drive your crazy. The only 'bad luck' I can think of is marrying someone you don't love!!

hahah! when we bought our wedding rings my FI strategically told me i shouldn't wear the ring even just to gaze or play around with because it takes the 'essence' away when he places the ring on me at the end of the ceremony. i understood but i would sneak it on anywya. shhhh =)

If it's bad luck, then we've cursed ourselves. When we first got ours, JT wore it for a MONTH! He said it was 'just to get used to it' Oh please, I try mine on all the time. I say things to myself like, 'I wonder how my wedding band would look with this outfit,' or, 'My wedding band must be lonely in that drawer, let me visit with it.'

The day we picked ours up, we stopped at CVS on the way home to pick some stuff up. We both wore them into the store to pretend we were already married!

I wore mine the entire day I bought it, and the entire day I had it fitted. I definitely didnt want to put it away!!!

My mother is very superstitious, but I've never heard her say this one! I agree with the above posters...you have to try it on to make sure it fits right! Don't drive yourself crazy with this.
