We are getting married at the RH early on a Saturday. I assume it will be like a 15 minute ceremony - no readings, etc. Just a quickie.
The majority of our BP, including us, are coming from out of town. Because it's a RH, we can't practice the evening before as there will be a wedding going on that Friday night. They said we can do it on like a Wed night - but making people come out to LI on a Wed sounds horrible - we have people from Vermont, NH and Albany in the wedding! They said we MAY be able to do it on the Friday but it'd have to be early, like noon, but I don't want to force people to take that day off and rush out to LI for a noon rehearsal when they can't even check into their hotel rooms that early.
The Reverend said we can just rehearse right before the ceremony since it's pretty cut and dry. Sad part about that is FH sees me before the actual wedding. That kind of bums me out a little.
What would you guys do? Should I just tell people, we practice at Noon - end of story?

No rehearsal for us either, our officiants don't do them so we're also just having a quick run-through right before. Honestly, you've seen one ceremony you've seen them all. Your BP will be fine and I'm sure everything will go smoothly.

Re: Is it bad to not rehearse?
I was in a wedding a few weeks ago and we didn't rehearse at all; they told us where to go as we were about to walk down the aisle and it was fine. There were even 2 children around two years old in the wedding party and they were fine.

Re: Is it bad to not rehearse?
I agree with everyone. I'm not having a rehearsal, and in the two weddings I've been in, there hasn't been a rehearsal --we're just told our order and we go! The Maitre D tells you when to go. I don't think Jewish ceremonies have them at all, and it works. No need to make everyone travel or to see your FH before you want to.
