I accidentally posted this in the Brides Helping Brides area - but nobody ever replies to my posts on that board.... Hoping one of you guys will offer advice or comments...
We are getting married at the RH early on a Saturday. I assume it will be like a 15 minute ceremony - no readings, etc. Just a quickie.
The majority of our BP, including us, are coming from out of town. Because it's a RH, we can't practice the evening before as there will be a wedding going on that Friday night. They said we can do it on like a Wed night - but making people come out to LI on a Wed sounds horrible - we have people from Vermont, NH and Albany in the wedding! They said we MAY be able to do it on the Friday but it'd have to be early, like noon, but I don't want to force people to take that day off and rush out to LI for a noon rehearsal when they can't even check into their hotel rooms that early.
The Reverend said we can just rehearse right before the ceremony since it's pretty cut and dry. Sad part about that is FH sees me before the actual wedding. That kind of bums me out a little.
What would you guys do? Should I just tell people, we practice at Noon if the RH let's us - end of story?

Re: Is it bad to not rehearse?
i HATED rehearsals when i was young and a FG in weddings so i'm avoiding having one. My DOC will just go through it with everyone beforehand.

Re: Is it bad to not rehearse?
I'm not...since I'm getting married at my RH and don't have time to go rehearse. I think it'll be okay...how hard it is to walking down the aisle to music. It's just like graduation...and no one rehearses for that..and that's like 100x more chaotic.
I'm just going to put someone in charge who really knows the music and when to cue people in.

You can maybe do a quick run through that morning. Thats what we will most likely do, but we will be there a few hours early for pics.
As long as everyone knows what to do and where to stand- its all good.
I was out of state for my sisters wedding and didnt go to rehearsal. It would have ben totally fine if they told me i was supposed to sit up in the alter in the chair with them. It really didnt matter in our case b.c the best man was late and didnt sit up there either- haha
