Is it Bad to only register at ONE store?

I see no problem with one registry. Esp BB&B because they are all over and everyone loves coupons.

BUT, You could always keep your 4 items from macy's and just tell a few close people or even if no one at all, at least you get a disount on unpurchased registry items in case you decide you want to buy them yourself.

I have two registries and so far everyone is getting all my stuff from one registry while the other hasn't been touched. You should just go for one since from my experience most ppl will go to one store anyway.

This is so true. I had two registries and I think I got maybe 2 gifts from Crate & Barrel and all the rest were from Macy's.

It depends on where your guests are from and what they expect. I have a lot of older guests who, with the closing of Fortunoff, want to go to a more department-store like atmosphere (in their minds, it's more 'upscale' than bbb), so I'm doing Macy's for them, as well as BBB. Plus, many of my guests are from bklyn where there's no close BBB. You should just keep close tabs on the registrys, and if things are flying off of one and slow on the other, just move some things over.
