Is it cheap for me to write in my band contract that I will only feed the keyboardist?

I know that sheliing out $$$$ for a wedding is more than any of us imagined but these are your vendors- I've said it before, they can make or break your day.


Ask your hall about 1/2 price plates for all of your vendors- thats what mine did. IMHO- feeding them is necessary.

i went to a place and if you used their house vendors, their plates were free. For all other vendors they gave 1/2 off for their plates. Ask your hall, but truthfully it is rude to not feed them, especially if money isnt a problem. Its even ruder to put in the contract that you would only feed one. Who then decides who that ONE is?

I would think yes it would be tacky, they are there providing you a service and making sure that you and your guests are being entertained. It's a matter of respect and consideration, that's all.

Definately feed the ENTIRE band-they are not going to play continuously even if you dont plan on feeding them. A singer can't go without taking a break or two-they get wiped out while performing and will need a little nourishment to get them through the rest of the night.

Its not really a price issue I just want my music to be 'continuous' and the band having a meal takes away from that.


If that's your concern, have it written in your contract that thy will take intermittent breaks. That's what my band does, so we had continuous music throughout the reception.
