say...a 'slight' broadway-esque, or 'time period' (say the 1940's) ish...
haven't booked, don't have a date...
BUT i am the kind of person that needs to visualize the goal post when i am deciding on something...in this example a place i am thinking of is a great venue for some 1940's dinner club/theatre theme.... is this cheesey?
thinking of flowers that were popular (orchids, callas), seating cards shaped in the popular chairs ('take a seat') or old movie projectors.
Thinking of looking at old pics of the 1940's dinner clubs my grandparents frequented for inspiration.
If you do 'light' touches...is it so bad?
TIA

IMO...i like 'light' touches of themes rather than a all out thened wedding... The ones i have been too people seem to OD on the theme thing!

Little touches are what make the wedding unique but still elegant

sounds lovely - you seem to be aware that too much of a theme is what is cheesy (i agree) - light touches will be classy!!! Go for it.

I love slight theme weddings. IMO more exciting and unique then the average wedding. I think it is a great idea!! We had a slight theme wedding and it was great. I got so many compliments that all the extra touches made it more fun. JMO!!!!!!!!!!!
