I think Mother Daughter Dances are becoming more popular recently. I have only seen it a couple times and it was at wedding I went to within the last year and a half.

It was nice, but you don't have to do it.

it's not 'customary' but you can totally do it. i think it's a more modern approach. customary implies tradition.

i say do it, if yu want to!
the only thing would be to maybe make it with the same song that you dance with your dad to- like halfway through, you're mom could dance with you... only because if you have bride and dad dance, bride and mom dance, groom and mom dance, bride and groom dance, bridal party dance, etc.... thats a lot of ' special' dances, and guests might get bored... but if you have your mom come out halfway through the song with your dad, that could work out really well!! good luck!

When I was little me and my mom always said we were going to dance to this song when I was a little girl... but my circumstances have changed so now it will not happen...

but I say if you want to go for it!
