is it enough time?!!

is it enough time?!!

So I approved the proof for the invites and they're in production now. I'm told it will take about 4 weeks. Which means my invites will probably go out early March, but I set my RSVP date as 4/6/07.

the guest will have less than a month to reply. Is that enough time??

I had to do the RSVP date in early april because my final head count is due early may.

I think that's enough time. I am pretty sure proper etiquette is giving guests one month to respond. If you have to cut it back by a few days, that should be ok. Let's face it, even if you gave people six months you'd still have people who don't respond on time!

I think 4 weeks should be a sufficient time period for guests to have to repond. Not knowing exactly when you'll get or send the invites makes it tough to answer yes or no.

Do as much as you can now to prepare---get stamps (for outer and response), get direction cards, get addresses and get pen ready, if you're writing out envelopes, or prep however you're addressing them.

I was able to get my invites assembled and ready to mail over two evenings after work, that was dealing with pocketfolds-taking response envelope out of each one to put on a stamp, put it back in and seal it.

I had my envelopes printed by the same person who made my invites (Pippys Sweets-a vendor here) so that saved time.

ETA: Not everyone will respond on time, if at all. We received a response card back 6 days before the wedding!!
