Is it ever possible to have too much of one color in your home?

First I was gonna have a green themed bathroom. I kept changing my mind on what I wanted. Thought I liked what I picked online, but saw it in person and prefered it in blue. It's a striped curtain with all matching bath ensembles.

My dishes are blue.

My bedroom is peridot with brown as an accent.

Is this too much blue?

I had a friend that always noticed that I wore blue constantly...and it's friggin' true. While green is my fave color, I tend to go straight for the blues and blue-greens.

Should I change my dishes to green?

The new ones I'm considering. Only thing I'm bummed about is that it doesn't have all these coordinating pieces to go with it like Nova Blue does. The green is nicer in person.




Can you tell I have no idea how to make these decisions?

I love those blue dishes. I wanted to register for those but FH disagreed.

LOL i do the SAME Thing! Only for me it red and oranges. Our wedding colors are hot pink and orange with red accents. Our kitchen dishes are fiestaware so we got them in red and orange and yellow (FH picked those) and accents of red and orange everywhere-very happy kitchen

I wear reds, pinks and oranges all of the time. Today wearing an orange sweater and purple tank.

I say go with what you like. I am toning down the living room and bedroom because DH likes traditional and I like modern and since its a communal area, we have to share. But since I cook, kitchen is MY arena!

I vote for blue dishes. If you wear it all the time, means it makes you comfortable.

Im' the wrong person to ask b/c everything we have is blue too!! FH and I are always wearing blue, and our dishes, bedroom, bedding, couches, towels, etc. are all blue! If you love it, don't worry!

Thanks all! We're sticking with blue- FH doesn't like the green.

I over think these things- but then again, what don't I over think?

I do the same thing. Everything blue. I have to try hard to pick other colors. Lately, though, I have an urge to paint a room yellow, so I'll do that. But my couch is blue, chairs are blue, my bedding is blues, my old towels were blue, and my dishes are a combination of turquoise and chartreuse (I have vintage and new Fiesta.)

Honestly, I LOVE those blue dishes. You can't help what you are drawn to. Color is suppossed to make you feel good & you should be able to look at your home & feel comfortable.
