Is it healthy to stop eating after 5:30/6:00 if I'm up til midnight?

Over the last few days, I've been trying to stop eating after 5:30 or 6:00 - so I have breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, and then dinner around 5:30. I've actually managed to lose 5lbs since Monday so I'm thinking that this is a good thing. I used to eat dinner at 9 or 10pm.

BUT, I work really long hours - I'm up at 6:15 and don't go to bed until midnight. Do you think it's going to slow my metabolism if I'm up 6 hours after my last meal?? Thanks!

what will slow your metabolism is NOT eating after 5:00!
eat every 2-3 hours untill you go to sleep. then eat as soon as you wake up within the hour at least.

It's definitely been 5lbs - I weigh myself at the same time each morning. The weight I'm taking off is weight I put on over the past few weeks, so I think that's why it might be coming off more quickly. But I lost 14lbs in 2 weeks on South Beach too - I think I'm just weird that way

the weight will come off fast in the beginning.

5 lbs = 17,500 calories burned

that alot IMO for 2 days

how does that happen? or is it just 'water weight' as people always say

I can't even lose 5 lbs in a month :(
