Is it horrible that we only want to look at the Atlantica
My fiancee and I just got engaged on Friday! We have been looking at places online all week. The only place we are both thrilled about is the Atlantica! We don't even want to look anywhere else! I think its great we both agree on the place already. I can't think of any other place except the Crescent (I want a beach wedding soooo bad!) The rate for a Saturday Day wedding is $120 a head which is great for us! Any other recommendations? We shouldnt have more than 115 people to invite.

Congratulations! The Atlantica looks beautiful online and in people's pics here! If you both found something you really like and are comfortable with the price, then why bother looking elsewhere? Did you visit it? What did you think?

go for it - I looked at 3, and knew that Raphael was the one the whole time.
Congrats on your engagement!!

I only looked at one place. Since it met everything I was looking for, I didn't see the need to look at others.

If it sounds perfect- then why not go for it!? Speaking as an Atlantica Bride- you won't be disappointed.

Atlantica is stunning. It was, for us, the ideal for quite a while...until we actually sat down and loked at what they are giving you for $120. The food sounds like it will be amazing, but there's really not a lot of it included in the basic package. If you want to have more than one station at your cocktail hour, an appetizer AND a salad with the main meal, or some kind of dessert in addition to the cake, then you will have to upgrade. It is a glorious backdrop, but just remember to figure in whatever menu enhancements you might want before calculating the price.
Crescent seemed to offer a lot more food, and also a lot more beach! And, although it is an admittedly biased reccommendation, Lands End also offers a beach, incredible water views and great food selections.
Good luck with your search! No matter which you pick, it's bound to be a beautiful wedding--waterfront ceremonies are the best, and all of these places are just gorgeous!

I'm a little biased but I've also heard good things about Rivera and Gorgios- I believe they're both on the water.

Oh no, I was afraid of this. If we are only having 115 people, will there be enough cocktail food that they offer? How much more money and food, did you find you needed to spend for it to be sufficient?

I didn't even look at my reception site until it was booked My dad suggested it and I couldn't think of a better location that hadn't been done by some friend or family member. I wanted mine to be unique. It was also close to my church and parent's house. I was really happy to get it.

I don't know what The Crescent requires for a day time minimum, but I know they want a guarantee of 200 on a Saturday night (I got them to let me guarantee 175)

GO AND SEE IT - I was personally VERY disappointed. I was expecting to book on the spot after seeing the online pics and pics from another weddingl - It was NOT at all what I expected. - The Crescent is beautiful though, you should def look there too ........I I think it's about the same price range and you're actually right on the beach .......Atlantica seemed to me like we were on the Dunes..........

Re: Is it horrible that we only want to look at the Atlantica
Congratulations!
There's nothing wrong withonly looking at one or two palces. FH and I only looked at 2 places before going back and booking the first one! The thing is, don't talk your self into lovingit on the spot. We had the 2nd palce we looked talked up to us so much that whenw e got there, it was hard to separate all of that from the fact that we really didn't like it. SO try to go in as 'this is a place I'm looking at' not 'this is the only place i'm looking at'. We fell in love with the first place we looked, so it was an easy decision. there's nothing wrong with only looking at a few palces, especially with all of the info available on LIW and elsewhere on the itnernet, you cna easily narrow down your list from that information.
Also with 115 be careful. I don't know what the minimums are for these places, but some palces have very high minimums especially if you're looking for a saturday afternoon or evening

my cousin was married there and it was beautiful. we wanted to look but it was too far out for a lot of our guests.
the pictures there are gorgeous and the food was delicious--and the hotel is right there so that is very helpful.
good luck and congrats on the engagement!

CCHC was the first place we went to and loved it but wanted to make sure it was 'THE PLACE'... there are 100's of halls on the island. We looked at 10 within a couple of weekends in 1 month before decideing. Only thing you would benefit out of checking out other places on making sure you getting a good deal.. Place B may have this and Place A charges extra...can be a negoiateing factor..
good luck.. never been to atlantica but as long as you like it, it must be good

I don't think it's horrible to only look at one place. (your first in mind)
My fiance and I knew we wanted the Vineyards, but still went to Hamlet Willow Creek and Majestic Gradens (both very beautiful)
I hope it works out. You must go there and see it first, you have to feel out the impression you think your guests will get.
GOOD LUCK, let us know!
