is it just me?

is it just me?

or does anyone else second guess themselves on every decision!!! i feel like i ordered my dress so long ago that i am going to hate it by the time i see it again. And every time i think i have picked a BM dress color, i think about it for a little while and then i dont think i like it!! is this normal or am i going crazy?

It's very normal, I go through it everyday, one day I want sage BM dresses then the next day I have no idea what I want-- same thing with my vendors -I'm always worried if I made the right choice, we're just driving ourselves crazy

It's not just you.

I used to second guess all my wedding choices. It's bizarre b/c I never second-guess myself.

After reading your post, I just second-guessed my BM dress color! I have wanted sage since I got engaged but now I want taupe/beige. How random.

Fret not, you're normal.

i think its normal. i found a wedding dress that i LOVE but im afraid to actually buy it even though my wedding is 1 year and a month away - I feel like its too soon. I am so indecisive. I cant imagine loving this dress for a whole year! I wish I could buy a dress like 2 months before

totally not just you ... mine is hanging in my closet right now and i haven't looked at it in 5 months ... i still need to resize it .. but i'm so afraid i won't like it ...

I ponder and ponder, finally make a decision and then read a bad review or hear something negative from someone I know.

I have learned to just trust my instincts and go with the flow.

I haven't even looked for dresses yet. Everytime I start to panic that I'm running out of time, I think of my friend who planned her beautiful wedding in 4 months - start to finish.

i think that long engagements - well not even just long engagements (my engagment is 1 year and 5 months) seem to make things worse b/c you have so much time and you book things so early - and then you still have like a year or two for it to actually happen so it give all that time to second guess....

also this site is great

BUT

ive seen so many things and have gotten so many ideas that i never would have thought of if i didnt find site. i feel like seeing something different that someone else had that you like makes you want to change your original idea so i try not to get too caught up!

Re: is it just me?

Yes! I second guess myself all the time! I ordered my dress around a month ago, and every time I see a bride post a dress I really like (that I haven't tried on) I wonder.... should I have picked a poofier dress? a dress with more lace? a dress without pickups?

I also second guess my bridesmaid dresses. I didn't even look for BM dresses, we just kind of stumbled upon a dress my BMs loved that looked great on them. I really like the color, but they have a spaghetti strap and I usually prefer strapless. My BMs all love the dress and it's ordered so that's what it will be.

Sometimes I even second guess my RH, mainly because I'm pretty sure we will end up getting married inside, and I don't really love their indoor chapel.

I'm not changing any of my decisions though... so I just need to suck it up and deal.

its not just u...this is the reason i dont like 2 buy & book things so early because it is just human nature to change your mind.

Nope I've been double and triples guessing every decision I make since we got engaged. I've also become very (excuse the word) ditzy all of a sudden. I'm all over the place, I need to concentrate.

Hello! That's me! I can't even make the damn choice. I've already returned my wedding dress once.

I can't comit to any vendors. I'm even unsure of my colors. UGH!

it's normal.
i cried last night because i decided i hate the color of my bm dresses.
today i looked at it again and loved it.

i always think i made the wrong decision on everything (except FH of course!) so this is really nothing new for me.

i feel your frustrations!! i have changed my BM dress color 3 times. And everytime i see someone else's wedding dress, i think that i should cancel mine and keep looking! i'm indecisive by nature, but never this bad!

Re: is it just me?

the only things i have never doubted are....

my photographer (LOVE her, did a lot of research before, looking at proofs and reviews on here) and she was the only one I met with. After negotiating price we booked on the spot.

the color of my BM dresses (i knew it was going to be blue since i was 5 years old, it was just a matter of finding a fabric and dress style)

band (i don't really care much about music but my parents and FH really like the band we booked, so that's fine with me)

i think i've wavered on everything else
