The one killed me who said she was going to pay for it all herself but then her parents were 'so impressed' with her style and vision that they offered . .

1. c'mon if she was going to pay for it herself - it was still soooooo obviously from a trust fund so what's the difference

and

2 B/c of her style??? like if she had picked ugly colors and done cheap things they would have told her she was on her own???!!! they are not investing in a fashion line!!!!

i like her she is really sweet

i think some of the things they spend their money on is totally pointless. who cares about getting your monogram on the floor with lights, people will be dancing and no one will notice! and half the stuff they do is really cheesey too. gospel choirs for two songs? just get a cd and have the dj play it.

I don't know- it's TV. I really don't think that stuff cost THAT much. Look at the stuff we get here on LI and from the looks of it, it looks like we spent alot but compared to these Plat Weddings, not nearly as much.

I think they embellish the costs a little bit just for the TV Show. I have been to weddings that cost over 100K and that was over the top (In another state) pretty much like what you see on the show but the budget was never like over a mil.

The episode I watched last night.. with some chick named APPLE (appolonia) and some guy tony I think... SO NOT WORTH THE MONEY! the room was EH. Nothing to brag about! It looked empty and the decor of the room didn't go with the style of the wedding. I was dissapointed in that episode.

Granted there's some stuff I like, but overall...it looks like there's definitely ways to get something SIMILAR, for less. To each their own...but if I had that kind of money, I'd be sitting pretty poolside in a mansion with my unlimited china service and stuffed animals LOL, not blowing it on cake crystals and flowers.
