Is it just me or have you noticed.....

Have any of you noticed that unless it's someone else also getting married or your mom, no one else is really interested in seeing or hearing about your dress? It's a little upsetting, I thought my bridal party would be excited about my dress but it seems faked!!

Sorry to hear that...I always love to see what people are choosing...and I did even before I ever got engaged!!!

I have the opposite problem everyone BUT my mom is interested! I have asked her several times if she wants to go shopping and she always has an excuse...she's not a 'shopper' but come on...this is my wedding...and I'm the only daughter!

Everyone gets a little weird when one of their friends gets engaged and they are not. I am sure they are happy for you, but in their own way they are probably reflecting on where they are in life compared to you.

This is from experience and does not pertain to everyone's friends, but I have noticed a few of mine are just not interested.

Try to not take it personal as hard as it is and don't let them or anyone take the enjoyment away from you.

I'm having a weird mix. One of my friends that isn't engaged who I though couldn't care less is all about joining me. She asked me to move one of my appointments so she could come. On the other side, some girls I would expect to be really excited don't really seem to want to make the time, which is fine. It's just weird how things turn out.

The ONE thing people have taken an interest in (even my male boss) has been my dress.

BUT for all other things- no one, including my Mom, FIL's and even bridal party really care about anything else. At first it bugged me but I figured I know they will be there if I really need them for something. This is a lot more exciting for me and FH than it is for them and I get it.

That's why I love posting here. These girls are the BEST support system a bride could ask for.

yea thats the reason why i love posting on this site -we're all on the same level where we stress about things that only other brides who experience it know!!! We care and want to see your dress!!! Post away girfriend were here for al ltypes of support!!!

heyyyyy i love your dress :) :) i think its hard for people who aren't getting married to relate....to them its a wedding dress.....to us - we've waited all our lives to wear it and you will look ABSOLUTELY STUNNING in yours :)
