Ok the FH wants to go on 2 vacations next year. HI we get married in 09. He doesn't understand why I feel I need to roll days over. I get 3 weeks vacation and 4 personal days each year. Next year I'm in a bridal party & the wedding is on a Friday so that's Thursday & Friday I'll need off. And 5 days for our vacation. It's like yea why do you need all these days.... ummm b/c when someone has to make sure in 09 everything is going right and it's hard for you to take days off who do you think will have to do it???????? ME.
And why spend the $ for 2 vacations in 08 when we get married the next year?
And then what days do I get for myself?

i hear you!! we HAVE to go to vegas in may of 08 thats 8 months before OUR wedding!! i cant affored to fly to vegas, stay in one of their pricey *** hotels for a week and fly back. plus spending money when we are planning a wedding.
FH annoys me. but we do have to go. his dad is getting married =(

I agree too! I cant roll my days over unfortunately, but every year fh and i go on vacation and he was planning on where we should go in '08 and im like newsflash were getting married, so therefore no vacation next year , we need all the money we can get !! ughhh.... men !!!

I dont think we're taking any trips until the honeymoon - saving for the wedding is just sooooo much more important to me than blowing $$$ for a short trip!

We took a spur of the moment trip to Vegas over labor day to celebrate our 5 year anniv, but we will not be going on any other vacations before our wedding (unless you count flying to NY to spend thanksgiving with my parents).

it's crazy. i'm like hello? i'm not blowing money for two long vacations esp when i'll be the one taking days off for not just fittings but to meet & finalize w/the vendors.

That's so annoying...Fortunately FH and I have very flexible jobs, but I think it would be silly to spend that $$$ on a vacay instead of saving it for the wedding.

funny u mention this b/c, we were just told last night that our friends decided to have a destination wedding in PR in April and now we're thinkin about not only going, but making a whole vacation out of it (taking a cruise out of san juan again!) we also have no $$ to be doing this, but once an idea pops into our heads, we seem to just go with it!
