Is it me??? I am not crazy about any Wedding Dress

Hello ladies

I have been shopping for my wedding gown non stop for the last 2 days from Morn To dusk
and I am not happy with none of the dresses,
I wear a size 10 in a 'normal Dress' but when it comes to the wedding dresses OH GOD!!! they look horrible one is too big one, the other is too small, and mean time all the other girls around me are a size 6 what is it with me? I am just not happy at all

You will find it eventually, give it some more time.

It took me a couple of visits to stores also.

Don't stress!
Its going to take a lot of dresses and whole bunch of stores. Try to find pictures of dresses that you like and then start to narrow it down that way.

Don't stress about it!! I tried on hundreds of dress before I found one that I liked. It took me forever. Don't worry, eventually you will find one that is perfect for you! I found it best to go looking for dresses by myself and then if I liked any I would take my mom or a BM back to see it. It was just easier for me that way.

aww thanks for the support!! but it is annoying when you expect to look like what you have invisioned from the magazine some of the dresses are just not what you expect once you are up close and personal. Another thing is seeing some of the other brides at the shop how awsome they look and you do not feel the same way... is this a normal feeling or is it just me?

I tried on TONS of dresses... but I find that everytime I go out I am torn between 2 of them... then I get home, change my mind, and go out again to search!! It's very confusing and aggravating!!! I understand what you mean about other brides looking good in the dresses. Just don't pay attention to them and concentrate on your search. You will find your dress, don't worry!

Don't worry...when you put 'the' dress on you will know, you just haven't found it yet.

Its all going to depend on the cut of the dress....I wear a size 6-8 and in bridal dresses they fit best in a 10.

YOu need to figure out what you need to accentuate, the first dress I got was a natural waist. I am 5'8' tall and look best in low waisted jeans. The 1st dress was a natural wiat and did not accentuate the right parts of my bosy.

I am out my deposit but what ever...the 2nd dress I bought was a drop waist dress and fit so much better.

YOu need to go where the sales people can tell you whats right for your body type.

Accentuate the positive and camoflauge the negative.

I went to RK Bridal for the 2nd dress and worked with Nicole and she knew what was right for me.

ETA- find a bridal store with a good sales perso thats not just there to make $$$ from you, but enjoys what they do

Good luck- don't worry you'll find it!

aww don't worry - I'm sure that something will catch your eye. I found that too - My advice would be to branch out with your wedding stores - I found that in a few stores there was one or two above average sales ladies with an eye for your body (that sounds dirty, but you know what I mean)

The stores you visited are the types of places that let you pick the dresses (more laid back sales ladies... which isn't a bad thing) - perhaps you should just try a place where they size you up... strip you down.. and put on something that you never would have pictured yourself in - even if you don't buy you can get an idea of how other things look on you and then shoot for that style.

are you really getting married this may?

Please try Lillette's in Baldwin. Ask for Christina G. She will definitely help you. She's getting married soon herself and she understands (1) style of dress to accentuate your positives and (2) the need to keep the price tag reasonable. Tell her another May bride sent you. She's great.

Size doesn't matter. When you find the dress you were meant to have, you'll look gorgeous and you'll know it. Don't stress so much. Try to have fun trying on all the gorgeous gowns and you'll find the one you want.

try The Bridal Garden in Bethpage & ask for Collette...She has been amazing...She will tell you what accentuates your body...She helped me pick my dress out...I didn't think I would actually like it but it was the best fit for me!

Honestly, the millions of dresses out there may be a bit overwhelming, but the best way to do it is to first find out what cut/style looks good on you. I always dreamt of a huge ball gown style dress and ended up with an A-line dress that looks much more flattering. First step, find the cut, then start looking for the type of beading, etc. I'm telling you, it will help you out a ton! The first few dresses I tried on looked hideous and I thought the same thing as you, but luckily the saleswoman was great and we determined what cut was right for me, and it was smooth sailing from there on! Check out Macy's Bridal. That's where I found my dress. There's a large selection, but not too many to confuse you. Good luck!

dont try on so many at a time...i get tired and cranky when i cant find a dress i like but ya know what----after 25 of them, they all start to look alike so narrown it down and dont go all day.

imagine you are a princess and enjoy all the attention and bring some nice high heel shoes too - it will make you feel more like woman and less like a child playing dress up

First -- I know how despairing this can be... I went through it when looking for my gown too. I must've tried on around 75 gowns! Don't let the sales people push you into thinking something is better for your body type or size -- try on everything and anything and ENJOY shopping for your wedding gown!! You only get to do it once so live it up and don't put too much pressure on yourself to find one right away. I shopped for about 3 months (going almost every weekend) before I finally found mine.

Another tip -- which you may not like -- up your price range a little bit -- you'd be amazed what you'll find. Then, if you find something that's WAY out of your real price range but that you really really love, you'll have a good idea of what you like and can start looking for different versions of it in a lower price range! Good luck!
