Hello ladies
I have been shopping for my wedding gown non stop for the last 2 days from Morn To dusk and I am not happy with none of the dresses, I wear a size 10 in a 'normal Dress' but when it comes to the wedding dresses OH GOD!!! they look horrible one is too big one, the other is too small, and mean time all the other girls around me are a size 6 what is it with me? I am just not happy at all

Dont stress about it, sometimes it takes more time and patience before you find the one but you will

Please try Lillette's in Baldwin. Ask for Christina G. She will definitely help you. She's getting married soon herself and she understands (1) style of dress to accentuate your positives and (2) the need to keep the price tag reasonable. Tell her another May bride sent you. She's great.

I had the same problem...I thought I knew EXACTLY what I wanted but then when I tried those on,I did not look good. I am a size 0 -2 and most of the dresses overwhelmed me...I looked totally lost!
We were about to give up and just go home and were passing Adrienne's in Islip. We just went in to look and there was 'my dress' on a mannequin! You may want to try there...they are really nice. and I LOVE my dress!
Good luck! I agree with those people who said just relex...and try on only a few dresses at a time!
BTW, I just thought about it. We were in a store in Garden City today looking for BM gowns...I was a BM and that's where we got the dresses, so we decided to trry there. They had a big rack of sale dress...$99 and up...maybe you'll hit it right and find something there! It was called Adventura Bridals and Tuxedos...on Franklin Avenue. Coming from Stewart Avenue you make a right onto Franklin and then it is about 2 blocks down...if you get to 990 you went too far...becasue that's where we had to turn around when we passed it, so that's how I know! I tried on tons of dresses before I found the 'one' and then I even kept shopping after that just to make sure. I never understood people who found their dress their first time shopping. Heck, as long as they love it than that's great. But I know for me, I was more indecisive and had to be 100% sure before I bought anything. A great place to go, with a ridiculously big selection, is RK Bridal. I think if you went there with some patience (it can be slightly intimidating) you would definitely be able to find something. I would also suggest going on a weekday, you'll get much better service.

I totally vote for Christina G at Lillettes she is truly the best she not only helped me but is my best friend I highly recommend her.

The first time I wnet out, I felt awful. It was right after New Years-- I felt huge, and I was aloen & all these skinny girls were in RK with their girlfriends & families.
I felt fat AND lonely.
Then I went witha friend to a smaller Westchester store & I was asked my price range & then shown one small section ofthe store. Then I felt poor AND fat!
Then I went to the Bridal Garden & Collette was great. It is small, so there wern't many people there & I didn't have to parade around the store, so I didn't feel so fat. Collette helpe dme find a dress that would work for me, even thoguh I tried on one a few sizes small. I am a 12, but I was a 16 in my wedding gown!
