I've heard some girls here meet with their florist to view sample centerpieces. Is this necessary? Just trying to see what I need to schedule as my wedding is only weeks away and every weekend is becoming more and more precious.

i did cause i wanted to make sure we were getting the exact thing i asked for. they make it up before you get there...so your there for only a few mins...its worth it-jmo you could also go after work...if your weekends are too busy! good luck date twin!

yes, you really should see a sample. when we went to see ours we changed the centerpiece and my bo-k.

I don't know if it is necessary but most people do just to make sure what they are getting is what they requested. I'm only getting bok's and I am going in a couple of days b4 the wedding to see a sample.

Have a meeting...even if by phone right before the wedidng to go over final details. I think that for the most part, you can forego the whole sample CP bit if you wish...it's not like most girls are taking those home, the florists usually keep them for floor samples for other potential customers who come to their showrooms.

How I met w/Florist:
First time - to get a quote Second time - to see a sample CP & put down a deposit Third/final time - to pay the balance in full two weeks before the wedding and finalize everything.

I would, also ask if they can make a sample b-ok (yours and bridal party). I loved my centerpieces but I had asked to see a sample first, I did not think to ask about sample b-ok and I was disappointed with how they looked. Asking to see samples can never hurt!

I did not.
1st and only visit: I showed her a pic of the BOK I wanted. She knew exactly the style I wanted, color I wanted, etc.
She mailed us the contract We signed and mailed a deposit check

I'm not having centerpieces but I plan on going to finalize plans. I want to see the colors of the roses again and samples of the baskets just to make sure.

Yes, you should have them do a sample to make sure its what you want, that way if you dont like something, they can change it for you. I met with my florist twice. We went for an initial meeting and then went back the following week to see the sample centerpiece
