well think of it this way - with your dress you are fitting your taste with the general theme/feeling of the wedding... with the BM dresses you're trying to fit your taste in with theme and *trying* not to piss off anyone who will be wearing it (although, some people will never be happy haha). good luck!

I am not looking forward to looking for dresses for my BM lol
i took into consideration what I wanted them to have(in terms of color and fabric) and then I took two of my non-picky BMs shopping. they found something they were cool with (but they are also awesome and were like 'Whatever you want!'), but then another BM had a problem with it since it was strapless. I was crazy nervous to go shopping with that one because i knew she'd be hard to please and also because I thought well what if she found something she loved but I didn't like- then I would have to tell her basically I want her input but only to a certain extent. She ended up loving one that worked for me too, so that worked out. but at one point i went shopping by myself and tried the dresses on to see if I was comfortable. If I wasn't, I knew I didn't want to put my BMs through it. that might be a good starting point.
Luckily I had an easy time with both.

basically right now all but one are in love with a dress but one BM hates it and is playing the 'it wont look good on me' card. Im trying to be reasonable but starting to come to terms with the fact that there is no way everyone will like a dress but i feel bad making somoneone wear and pay for a dress they dont like

Luckily I had an easy time with both.
Had such a hard time trying to find a dress in the color, then scrapped the color for a dress that looked good on my MOH, then wasn't happy because I didn't have the color....so hard!!! My MOH tried on like 50 dresses...it was that difficult!
I was going to let them decide on the dresses as long as it was in the color I wanted but have now decided I am just going to pick the dress & hopefully they like it if they don't it's only for one day they should be able to deal.
