IS IT NORMAL TO PAY FOR YOUR DRESS IN FULL WHEN ORDERING IT???
I was told that because the place i am ordering my dress from is discounting it so much that they want the dress fully paid for when you order it. Does that sound normal to everyone? what did you have to do? is there suppose to be a guarantee in my contract saying that if my dress comes in damaged or not in time that i will get my money back? I am just alil nervous because this seems alil weid to me. Do a lot of bridal stores make you pay in full...please let me know your experiences..oh and also i have 8 months til my wedding will a maggie dress come in with time for alterations???

No! I paid 1/2 and then will pay the other 1/2 when I pick up the dress. I would never pay something in full cause then there is no recourse. What place is it...can you FM me? Make sure that they are not going out of business. I have heard of so many places (furniture stores etc) that are requiring full payments cause they are going out of buisness.
I would hate to pay in full and have them run off with your$$$$

because they are 'discounting it so much' they said. A maggie dress thats originally like $1200 they said they will give me for $800

is it a reputable store? but even so...dont do half...maybe 3/4? idk..such a tough call!!!! try another store and see what the price is?

I only had to put 50% down, putting the full amount seems kind of crazy, I would only do it if it was a reputable store and you know they are not going to go out of business anytime soon

i think i will express that i am uncomfortable with paying in full and see if they will change this for me..if not then see if other placeswill match it but i doubt anyone will

I got my dress from David's Bridal and I had to pay in full.
A coworker of mine brought in a price quote for her dress from an online retailer and the store matched it. You never know what another store will do until you try.

Don't pay full!!! I have only seen people pay half including myself. That just doesn't seem right to me

I paid 50%. I couldnt see myself paying for it in full when I dont even physically have posession of it!

I only paid half but personally I would not feel ok with having to pay in full discount or not.

I paid in full for my dress. I bought it at a trunk show and I got 20% off. It came within 2 months and everything was fine.
