IS IT NORMAL TO PAY FOR YOUR DRESS IN FULL WHEN ORDERING IT???

I was told that because the place i am ordering my dress from is discounting it so much that they want the dress fully paid for when you order it. Does that sound normal to everyone? what did you have to do? is there suppose to be a guarantee in my contract saying that if my dress comes in damaged or not in time that i will get my money back? I am just alil nervous because this seems alil weid to me. Do a lot of bridal stores make you pay in full...please let me know your experiences..oh and also i have 8 months til my wedding will a maggie dress come in with time for alterations???

No. I had to put down 50% and the rest we pay when it comes in...

I forgot what % I paid when ordered but paid in full when it came in and did first fitting. I have receipts and stuff so not worried.

I paid half.....I would feel really wear y about paying it in full....

i think i will express that i am uncomfortable with paying in full and see if they will change this for me..if not then see if other placeswill match it but i doubt anyone will

FYI RK bridal match prices and they want 50% down

I got mine from Davids Bridal, under $600 and paid in full. Didn't get a choice about it either.

I had to leave 60%. Honestly I wouldn't feel comfortable paying it in full. God forbid something wasn't right with the dress I feel that some people would really care to help you as much cause they already have your money.
