FI told me if we go to war the airports are going to be insane. there will be armed guards, everyone will be searched to the fullest possible extent, there will be undercover agents, security checks at every exit with TSA and guys with machine guns...

Why cant we just live in a peaceful world

Chipp, that's the way it is in Israel right now....and has been for the last 25 years....

its definatly going to take some time for me to get used too, especially since FI is the one in the airport doing all these searches...I feel safer with guys like him defending our skies by doing all the searches, but just the idea of this is how we have to live, men with machine guns...

As Americans we can never get used to the way the people in Israel deal with it daily. We are way too free spirited with our lifestyles. This is not something I want to get used to at all

No we can't get used to it..but at least we can look to them for inspiration. The people of Israel act just like we do on a daily basis. They go shopping at the Gap, they eat at McDonald's, they go to bars and pub and clubs on Saturday night, they eat at pizza places, they hang out at the corner store, they go to the mall, to school, to work, they use mass transportation....they live their lives. They have made living with security part of their lives, and we can do it too.

I personally like the show of force. I work on Rockefeller Plaza and yesterday, standing right in front of the Nautica Store were two police officers in full riot gear with submachine guns, I looked at them and smiled...and the didn't look back...they were too busy concentrating on everything that was going on around them. I felt a lot better.

it's all so sad what this world has come to - i heard that they started striking that area in particular because they believe they had some good inside info that sadaam was in that area because he was so defiant and didn't think the attacks would start so soon--imagine they got him?! what a joyous day--but i doubt it this early on---we can only pray---

I dont want to get use to living in fear but going about my daily life.

Its disgusting. This jackass and others should have been removed along time ago.
