Im going to a wedding on saturday and i was wondering if i could wear a white skirt. I know a white dress is a no but how about a skirt. I have a nice linen kneww length skirt and i was going to wear a black top with white polka dots and black shoes. i love the outfit and didnt think twice about it but my sis said soemthing to me when i showed her. i wouldnt be upset if someone wore it to mine. what do you think??

I am sure you would be fine, but personally I wouldn't wear white at all.

I wouldnt be at all upset either if I wore the bride. Its not like you're wearing a full white outfit...

Re: Is it ok???
here is a link to a pic of me in the outfit. u cant really see the skirt. but u get the idea.
Hmmm, I would NEVER be upset about that if I were the bride but you never know, some people might think that about you even if it's fine...
So, if I were you, just to be safe: I would wear something different. Unless you want to wear that to the church part (if they have) and then change for the reception? That way you get use out of it!
I don't know, I would never think of that-- it would never enter my mind but you know how people are so you might want to avoid it all-together for that reason. Good luck, HTH!!!!

Re: Is it ok???
Ill be honest with you-it wouldnt bother me unless it was a white dress...but I know a few brides who said the same thing and freaked on their day about it. I would, just to be on the safe side consider something else

I would wear something else just to be on the safe side. I think any version of white on a woman will call attention. It is the bride's day and I don't think you should take the chance (although it is a nice outfit).

I wouldn't wear white to another wedding because I wouldn't want it done to me. At my cousins wedding there were 3 girls in white and alot of people were talking.

Wouldn't bother me either...Honestly, your shirt is what is going to draw people's eyes anyway. I wouldn't worry about it. Go for it.

Re: Is it ok???
I have a very strict rule for myself when it comes to going to weddings......don't wear white. I know it's probably an old fashion out of date rule, but I just always felt that is the one color that should be off limits b/c the bride will be in it. But that is JMO.
