Is it bad taste if your wedding invitations don't match the color theme of your wedding or reception?

Since we are getting married in St. Thomas. We chose a Caribbean blue for the girls to wear. The guys are wearing tan suits. So I was trying to stay with that color scheme. All the favors are blue and the gifts are blue. But when I try to get invites that color it just doesn't look right. Do you really think it's not that bad?

tan & blue does match and/or it does color coordinate... I've a blue & tan wedding theme.. where the groom and the gm's wore tan suits and it was really nice... I say go for it!

Nobody remembers your invitation. I'm using a totally different font for the wedding stuff and not a single person will even notice.....they will be too busy looking at the bride!!

it's not a big deal at all. i've been to weddings that basedon the invite should've been covered in pink tutus and fairy dust....yet they were clean and crisp!

Nah don't stress it! No one will even remember whether or not they match so get what makes you happy!
