is it ok to 'read' your vows

or should they be memorized, we wrote our own, and they kinda long.... is it 'acceptable' to read them during ceremony? and if so.... where would i put it? only place i can think is in my cleavage to get to easily

I think that is fine...in fact, I have seen people read their vows!! But...I have no idea where you would put them...but it would be pretty funny to pull them out of your bra!

Yes, I think it's fine. I've been to weddings where the couple reads their vows to each other.

As for holding, perhaps in your hand against the bouquet? That might curl the paper, though. Or your MOH can hold it, then hand it to you at the appropriate moment. Still might curl the paper, but then at least you won't have to mess with it till you need it.

I think its fine if I decide to write my own vows I will probably read them because I may get real nervous or full of emotions and wont be able to remember what I want to say

I'm pretty sure people read them. Have your MOH keep them under her chair/next to her and hand them to you..I wouldn't put them in your bra, that's just me.

our officiant will keep them until we are ready and then she will hand them to us when its our turn to speak....

yeah i was worried about memorizing mine too....she said they will be printed on nice card stock so it doesnt just look like any old piece of paper....and she will hand them to us to read when its our turn to speak....im so nervous about it! but excited too!
