on your RSVP card: '___ seats have been reserved in your honor'.
This could seriously eliminate many of my troubles before they arise. I'm hoping that you ladies think this has an air of formality as opposed to downright rude.

I did this and everyone told me what a good idea it was. who knows what they were saying behind my back but i would rather that than have any confrontations about who was and wasn't invited

In my opinion I think its fine. I was actually thinking abotu writing the same thing on mine. I hate confrotations, so I would rather address that situation before anythign happens. I'm sure it wont prevent EVERYONE from doing what they want, but it may help

Re: Is it o.k. to say......
The RSVP Card Says This:
We're Looking Forward to Celebrating With You! ____Seats have been reserved in your honor.
M________________________
____ Will Attend ____ Will Not Attend
Number of Guests____
And right after I designed and ordered it...I started to feel like a jerk. I was considering placing another order for the standard ones. But part of me really feels like the one I ordered is just fine. And you all helped to validate it. Thanks.

The wording was something like '2 seats have been reserved in your honor'.
'____ of ____ will be attending'
And some people still put 3 of 3 when we only said 2 seats have been reserved. It worked out though b/c we were initially under our minimum guarantee and needed to invite more people anyway.

If FH says he doesn't want to...he has to call them. Not you haha. I think it's a great thing to put on rsvp card. I'm adding this thread to my notebook.
