I have a bottle of Oil of Olay Complete All Day Moisture Lotion and I noticed that it has an expiration date on the bottom (1/2007). Is it okay to still use this? I didn't know lotions 'go bad'...

If it still looks and smell usable, I'd use it! Why not? If it really bothers you, try it out on your thigh, wait a day, and see if something has happened. It's only lotion.

i think it isn't bad... i think it just looses its effects... and i think sometimes it just gets oily ... like the contents separate or something like that...

If there is an experation date, there must be a reason. I wouldnt use it

No it is not bad necessaryily, just useless. I used to work in the beauty industry and all that really happens is the contents seperate and the product isn't really useable anymore. Sometimes, with cheaper products, they can create a light film on your skin as well.

I wouldn't use it...you never know what it might do to your skin. I'm not a fan of Olay to begin with and to use it beyond the expiration especially a year after it expired really is not a good idea.

its almost 2 years beyond the date, I'd buy a new one

i would just throw it away if i were you. Wouldnt want to put something 'expired' on my skin, you never know what happens to the product after its shelf life is up...

I agree.

If it has an spf then that's what expired. I don't know if i'd use, but if it's just a normal lotion it should be fine.

I would assume that there's a date there for a reason and it was almost a year ago. Considering they don't expire that quickly, it's probalby several years old. I would just throw it away. When the consequence is horrible pimples or a rash, I would err on the side of caution.

It's fine to use it as long as it's the right consistency. It doesn't go 'bad' like food does.

Dont worry its ok to use, it just wont be as potent after the exp date

I don't think using it will harm you, but it might not do what its supposed to either.

If that's the expiration date, I wouldn't use it. Specially on your face. God forbid you develop a horrible rash. I wouldn't do it.

i dont think anything bad would happen to you, i just think it probably lost its effectiveness..
