Is it only me or

does anyone else get nervous about the wedding and moneywise?

There are days I feel fine and am like ok no problem but then there are days that sometimes I see all the checks and all the extras that you ladies and gents post and that makes me think ooh I forgot that and stuff.

Maybe I'm just a worry wart at times. Like I know we can pull this off and stuff but I freak out at times.

I got nervous initially but Fh and I sat down and really budgeted everything out so we can see that it's possible. Its normal to get nervous about the money part.

Yeah I think that's what we need to do is really sit down and budget it out and we haven't done that yet. We're only going to start looking at vendors at the end of summer but when i think of all the little things that can get overpassed and that add up I'm like oh no. The good thing is FH reassures me whenever I get nervous or upset about it.

Well that's good. It really is the best way. Because then you can see what you can actually afford. We are also buying a house and we have a trip to Hawaii coming up for his friends wedding so we really had to make sure we could do everything without going broke.

I get nervous when I see all the checks that I'm going to over look something! This past week I've taken a huge wedding planning break (Which has actually kept me sane). But FH thought he lost $500 on Saturday and I was a mess! I was like, 'that could have been used for the florist, or the honeymoon!' 20 minutes later he found the cash in the car. I almost had a heart attack though. It's tough when money is so tight!

I get nervous all the time!! Even with our parents' contributions, we are going to have to contribute a lot of money too!!

I read an article when we first got engaged that said that the thing brides have the most trouble overcoming is the fact that they are going to spend a ton of money. The article said that since this is the first time most brides are spending this much money, and on something that only lasts one day nonetheless, it is something that we have trouble reconciling in our heads.

I've decided that when FH starts getting nervous too, that's when I'll take my thoughts seriously. LOL

I *just* booked our place but i'm already nervous! I'm very fortunate that my parents will be paying for the venue but we are covering all other expenses. I honestly don't even know how much a limo is supposed to be or what a DJ charges! It becomes overwhelming when thinking about everything... i do think the key is keeping track on a dedicated spreadsheet. I just need to figure out what the 'norm' is all for all of these vendors - and tipping etiquette!

Of course we get nervous. It's really scary to imagine spending all of this money on one night. In the end, I know it will really be worth it. We've REALLY been saving a lot - and our parents are helping tremendously. It was one of our biggest fears at first, but we're starting to realize it'll all be okay :)

Glad I'm not only one. I mean we only have the RH and church set but I think what happens if right before the wedding we don't have all the money we need to pay vendors and the RH. I'm ok with it and at times I'm thinking what ifs. Ugh.

I guess it comes with being a Bride to Be.

Well thankfully we have this website to talk about it and get advice from each other who are actually going through it

lol you are totally not alone- i see dollar signs everywhere i look!!!!! i had a major wedding meltdown on saturday to FH- i continuously spend- granted i make good money- however- FH is way better at saving than i am!!! but at least i realized i cant go spend $250 a week on myself for lunch/ nails/ new clothes...lol so that ended SUNDAY! :) you will be just fine- its so scary but we will all be ok!!

All I do is save and I see it but I don't at times. Definitely have to work out a budget for everything.

I have had mini panick attacks about money and fh having to talk me down. I am having a hard time with it the most cause I am the one that is saving the most for it since fh has some debt to clear up. So I panic a lot cause if it all falls on me we might fall short somewhere. I also have a hard time with it cause we want to buy a house and I am literally taking all our money to and saving to have this wedding which is even sadder. So you are definitely not alone.

I am sick to my stomach when I think about how much our shindig will cost. Even in this area, we're way below the 'normal cost' and I'm still very nervous. I can't believe I spent $1000 on my gown! I thought my left arm was going numb when I swiped that CC.

I'm very frugal and a tight-wad, so anything that is expensive makes me nauseous. I so desperately want to elope, but FH won't hear it. He keeps saying we can have this wedding, but I won't rest until it's over, and all paid for with no outstanding debt.

I'm a financial guru so I mostly feel confident. but looking at ALL the numbers on my expense sheet does bug me out a little! I have a fear that it's going to be the day before the wedding and we're going to be missing like $1,500 and the whole day won't happen because of it! I know family would step in or something and it's a pretty irrational fear but I worry a lot too!

I am absolutely nervous... about the money and the day itself!! I know that it's all gonna work out, though... and it's absolutely worth it.

I felt the same way and that is why we postponed the wedding for a year. Everyone was getting all of these checks and I just couldn't do it. It was so hard to make that decision but I am glad we did. I feel less pressure and I am able to buy all the little checks that I wanted. :)

I bug out all the time! I think what's important for us personally to make it work is to spread everything out especially since we have so much time, to 'replenish' the funds also.. We CAN do it, just not all at once! But it freaks me out!!!
