Is it possible?

Original post by kfox715

Do you think it is possible to plan a wedding in nine months?
We were originally planning on having a wedding in the Spring of 2008. However, one of the reception halls we were interested in just had a cancellation for late October of 2007. We can get better prices and more flexibility with our minimum guarantee. We can financially work it out if we have to.
Should I consider it? Is it possible??......

Def! I moved my wedding up and have less than nine months to plan - just think, people do it in less time.

We got engaged in Aug and getting married next month (7 months). Part of that time I didn't dedicate it to my own planning because I was my cousin's MOH for her November wedding and she needed a lot of help. After her wedding was over was when my planning really begun. You have plenty of time.

Stay organized, and you'll be quite OK.

I'm getting married in 3 1/2 months and I still can't officially finalize a date b/c my FH is in the Air Force and we're waiting for an official go ahead on the date...which I have to wait til March for, so I obviously definitely think 9 months is PLENTY of time to plan a wedding! Get the things that are important to you first, dress, place, photographer (those were my most important things) and then go from there...

It's definitely possible and you should do it. If I could do it over again I would have planned mine in like 6months. All this waiting is killing me. Let us know what you decide so you can join the October Bride Thread!

Re: Is it possible?

Sure. We booked out wedding the second week of December for June 3rd. The only thing that I'd say is don't try to do a Saturday night in a popular month from nine months away--Sept or October. I've heard October is really popular these days. Anyway, since we're having a Sunday afternoon wedding, I haven't had any problems getting vendors, and my dress is coming in four weeks before the wedding (although I'm hoping earlier.)

So, yes, just be careful!
