hmm... that would make me nervous trying that... they sell those embosser things though were you can hand emboss the return addresss... they are around $20... it might be worth it to save the trouble...

I think you can, but sorry I never did. But do a couple of trials first before. And I think a laser or photo printer will work the best.

i did it! i played around with microsoft word and would print out the address on computer paper and hold it up to the envelope. the address was very far down on the paper, b/c i put the envelope in so that the base was fed in, the flap point was pointing at me and it was obviously side up. does that make sense? it took some playing around but we did it. we only would print out like 5 at a time!

I would recommend an embosser or using clear labels on the back. I would not put in through a printer.

I did with no problem - save for a handful that were chewed up. It depends on the thickness of the envelope...and your printer, of course.

I agree. You can buy an embosser for around $50 online, totally worth it... and you'll get use out of it for as long as you live at that address.

no dice. These are for DH's surprise party, so I'm using my name, but C/O my grandma at her house.

Maybe I could print out labels for the return address?

I did it with no problems. I used a photo printer. You may need to adjust the way the envelope is fed, but it can be done!

I agree. I did it for my E-party invites, wedding invites and thank yous.

Sometimes depending on your printer, the envelope will go through better one way or the other.

I did it (using a laser printer). It took a little practice on regular paper. Once I figured it out though, it was easy and mistake free! I did try it with my inkjet as well, and it didn't work. I think a lot of it depends on the kind of printer and the envelope you're using.

Good luck!

Yes, you definitely can. It will depend on how finicky your printer is so do a test run before you decide.

Embossers are a great option too..and you can use it on your thank yous and future mail as well.
