Would an HPT come out neg. if you took it too soon???

First Response allows you to take it up to 4 days before your per. is due

right, so if I took it before that and it was neg. I could still take it again and the result may be different??? Just askin'!

With my pregnancy I took at early test and it was negative. Every few days I was testing because AF was late. I got 2 negative tests before I got a postive one- and then I took two more to confirm it. I think it depends on the amounts of hormones in your system and how sensitive the test is. Good luck

I know my sister took 5 tests before she got a positive and she had already missed a period, some tests( even though they say the test low levels) are still too soon to sue...BTW..my sister has a healthy 3 yr old now...and she didnt think she was pg....

I'm kind of in the same boat - I was considering taking a HPT this week. I have been on the pill for about 4 years and take it religiously. however, this past week at the tail end of my friend, we did the deed. We never have so close to the end of my friend.
and now I feel a tad sick to my stomach. I'm thinking it may be that stomach flu that so many people I know have. is it worth taking the test? should I be concerned? is it too early to even tell?
i'm just panicking becasue we're not ready at all.

Hi, you sound like me. However, I took a test a week after the deed, which was MORE than 5 days before my period is due, because I could've sworn I was PG. Gassy, bloated, sore boobies, etc., HOWEVER, with my mood mixed in, I'm pretty sure it's just PMS. I still have not gotten AF, but pretty sure she's on her way. I would wait to take a PG test because quite honestly, even though I knew it was too soon, it was quite disappointing. I actually didn't think I'd feel that way, but I did.
