I wasn't going to take epics but when I booked my photographer they were included, so now I am.

I actually want e-pics because it will be nice to have professional pics of the two of us. I also like the idea of a nice picture that is in more normal clothing (not wedding dress, etc)
I also want to include my dog since I won't be able to on our wedding day.

My FH does photography and I keep mentioning that we should just do them ourselves....I seem to never get a response. No, you don't HAVE to get them. They're just fun to have. Maybe you can use them for you STDs or something. I also think and engagement pic would be nice to have along with wedding pics.

You don't have to, but usually they come with your photo package.

Of course you don't have to, but if it is part of your package then why not (if you have the time).
I wanted to do it because I wanted to meet my photographer before hand to make sure I liked him & liked the pics he was taking. Because I was concerned about not meeting the photog until the wedding day, the sales guy thru epics into the package for us.
Just something to think about.

No I don't think so...if you want to go for it, but if you want to save some money you don't need them....I think some packages come with it though.

if its included in your package then DEFINITELY do it, besides having these great pics with your FH you really get to learn beforehand how your photographer works. It's also great because you do learn more about posing and things you do wrong that you can make sure not to do the day of the wedding. When we took e-pics our photographer kept having to tell Fh to relax his forehead and loosen his lips, he kept them too tight and it showed in pics...Now he knows how to do that and don't have to deal with it the day of the wedding.
