Is it really that cold out?

My heat was turned on. Which means - now I get to listen to
SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
SSSSSSSSSSCLANKCLANKITYCLANKCLANKSSSS
SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSCLANKCLANKSSSSSSSSS
SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS for the next 5 months.

I haven't been outside all day (isn't that bad? God I love being home for a week) and I dind't think it was that cold out today.

I don't understand why my radiator is always always always hissing. My stupid super says he can't do anything about it (BU11sh*t he's just to lazy) and we can't get the **** thing open to bleed it. It's been painted over one too many times.

I can't wait to move

Yes, it's that cold (at least to me) and at least you have heat. My landlord isn't even home and they control the heat (I'm on the top floor of a 2-family). I so don't want to have to pull out the I'm-a-landlord/tenant-lawyer-and-I-want-my-heat schtick.

OK, I'm sorry I complained. At least I have heat.

I'll share my heat with you if I could!

Don't be sorry! I didn't mean to make you feel bad. Besides, I'm cold when it's 70 degrees out, so I could just be a freak, but it is supposed to go down to the 30s tonight. First no spring, now no fall?

I need to find where it's 65-70 degrees all year long and move it to NY, because I don't want to move someplace else. I hear San Diego is like that...anyway of relocating San Diego to the NY metropolitan area?

Re: Is it really that cold out?

I am seriously contemplating turning my heat on tonight. I am sitting here at the computer with a blanket wrapped around me. I just feel like if I turn it on, then the winter is offically here!!!! I hate winter!!!

I also hate any temp. under 70 degrees. I wish it was still summer. My hands have been cold for 2 days. We turned our heat on briefly earlier just to get the chill out of the air. It was 64 degrees in the house. How many days till summer??

Re: Is it really that cold out?

Jannshari, I think you mean San Francisco....San Diego is way south in California and I think it's hotter there! LOL
But then again maybe I'm wrong - I've never been to SD or SF! LOL

Which one does it rain a lot in? Whichever it is, I mean the other one!

The wind is blowing something fierce here, and lightbulbs keeping blowing in my apartment! It's a little freaky, but I've got my laptop keeping me warm.

Re: Is it really that cold out?

no no no...San Diego is the best weather in the country...it rarely gets above the 80's...something like 5 days on average are above 90!!! and the lows in the winter are 50-60...

its absolutely fabulous...

San Francisco can get pretty cool...

but if it makes you feel any better I had to put on a sweatshirt when I walked my dog this evening...it was a little chilly...even though I am still in shorts

for those who can't control heat...what we used to do was boil water...in pots and tea kettle...also we turned the oven on and kept the door open...landlord paid gas...so they paid our heat one way or another
