Is it rude to not accept late response cards?

I havent even sent out my invites yet..but I was just curious after reading alot of posts on here where people are late to respond. I just ordered my invites on Friday and am now wondering how I will handle that. I have tp pay for the majority of the bill ten days before..but what happens if someone is late in responding? How do you handle that? Is it rude to say ' its too late'. Im not a cold hreated person..but I wouldnt like people responding late.

I would accept the person's late response. If it just so happens that you already paid, call up the reception place and tell them that you need to add a couple more people. Believe me it will not be a problem. Sometimes people just forget.

I never told anyone it was too late. I got only like 2 people who told me they were coming last minute. I had included them anyway.

We paid for a certain amount & we had a bit less than that amount, so my place gave us extras & some of the $$ back!

Yes, accept them. The bulk of your invitees will get them to you on time but sometimes people are forgetful or lose things but that doesnt mean that they should be excluded from your wedding. If they made the invite list to begin with, you obviously want them there. I hear alot of brides (not necessarily you) get caught up in how rude this one or that one is for not doing this or that but try to keep the focus on the big picture and don't get caught up in the minutia. It's not worth it. Gracefully say yes and then call your hall. Good luck.

definately should accept them.. if you dont want to wait after your rsvp date you can always give them a call..

On my response date I had not heard from 61 people. I was annoyed but after a week and a few phone calls, we had them all. Sometimes people just forget. As much as I would have liked to say, 'too late', I don't think I could've done that.

Ya know what it is..I know that deep down there is a person on my fiances side who just ais not genuinely happy for us..they have been giving us a hard time about EVERYTHING..and I think deep down I dont wnat them to come..I was hoping maybe secretly that I could tell them ' Too Late' just because they have given us such a hard time. I know it sounds cruel, but this person is really stressing me out!!

well.... under normal circumstance I would not do the too late thing...... but....... there is an exception to every rule!

BTW... if that person is already being this shady, I am sure they will give you many more opportunities to '86' them anyway

Thank you... always here to amuse & inform.

We have a few we could do without, and they are the same way. I have come to the conclusion that people that cannot be happy can NEVER be happy for other people..... they just don't get it.
