is it silly for me to dance with my mom at the reception.. like a daughter/mother dance? my dad passed away when i was 11 and i think my mom would really love that.

No, I think it would be really sweet. At a wedding I just went to the bride danced with her dad and then her mom. It was beautiful and they were both in tears.

this is my plan. there was a song on the radio the other day and my mom said 'this is the song i want to dance with you with at your wedding' - i couldnt' disappoint her so i just said 'okay, looking forward to it ! '

No at all. I think it is such a sweet idea. I know a girl who had a mother- daughter dance at her wedding, as well as the father-daughter dance.
