Is it still possible to have a wedding for $10,000 or less?

My budget is $10,000.00 (the most) I'm inviting about 100 people.

I have a couple questions for you ladies:

Which reception hall offer reason prices or all inclusive packages within my budget?

Have any of you ladies or someone you know had a wedding recently that cost $10,000.00 or less? if yes, please tell me how did you manage to stay within your budget. Please provide me with a link to your wedding review if you have one.

Thanks in advance!

I recently went to a wedding at Brentwood Country Club and I know they used the package deal and it was AWESOME!! It was really a great wedding. I don't know what the total cost of the wedding was but I am sure it was close to 10,000. Also the Dj there was awesome!

hmmm I honestly think it would be hard to stay under that amount. Even the packages at the all inclusives seem to be more than that now, i believe brentwood is now 12,000. Also, those packages do not include everything you need. I am shocked by how much the little things cost, and how many little things there are. You still need your dress, hair, make up, favors, bridal party gifts, jewelry, shoes, tuxes, programs, church or officiant....

I think you can plan a very reasonable wedding by watching what you spend but I would be surprised if it was really at 10,000, for 100 people. good luck!!!

I'm almost positive that Douglaston Manor offers a package for that amount.

Maybe if you do off season and day time with an all inclusive package

I definitely think its possible! One of the other brides on here told me 'when there's a will, there's a way' and I think that's great advice! Check out this blog

they have awesome weddings on there and they feature some budget beautiful weddings. I saw one once in CA that was done for 10K. So, I think CA and LI are similar in that they're both ridiculously expensive so I def think you can pull it off! Good luck and happy planning!

It is because mine is about that. You just have to cut out some things and do some stuff on your own like invites and stuff like that but it is very possible.

agreed, my cousin got married there on a sunday...during the day in August and it was BEAUTIFUL...check the BCC out.

you can save $$ by shopping around for a cheaper dress (my friend got hers at Davids bridal for 200 and it was sooo pretty)
do your own invites
skip favors (noone really cares anyway, I usually always forget mine)
do your own hair/makeup
shoes/jewelry/veil (EBAY!!! I have saved so much using ebay)

its definitely possible!!! good luck

You don't need to have pros do hair and makeup, you don't need favors, you don't need bridal party gifts, you don't need expensive jewelry (borrow from relatives!), and you can make your own programs. There is a lot of stuff that you can cut out or DIY and that takes the cost down significantly.

It is totally possible! Go to TheKnot.com there is an article on planning a NYC wedding for $10,000 (the catch there is that the guest list was capped at 100). Just don't get all caught up in all of the many many things that brides do because its their wedding and end up paying out the wah-zoo for it. A sensible wedding doesn't have to be shabby, it just takes some time and creativity from you! Good luck!

Its not easy...but I'm sure its possible. Check out a place with a package deal: Ariana Waterfall or Holiday Inn (Plainview) or Manor East, make alot of DIYs..you can do it.

Brentwood CC's package is $10,000 on Fri and Sun for 100 people. That includes food, bar, dj, invites, flowers, limos and I think thats about it. I know you can trim the package so say you don't want to use their florist but instead use fresh flowers from a wholesale place or make candle centerpieces you get I think $1 off per person, possibly more. The invites are $1 off pp if you decide to DIY. David's Bridal I know always has sales on dresses too.
