wear an updo to someone else's wedding? My friend told me she thinks its a bit much....almost like you think you are in the bridal party or something...:) I was just wondering b/c I have a wedding this weekend and I am getting my hair done for it. My dress is strapless and I thought a nice updo would look pretty but now I am not sure. What do you think?

you should wair your hair anyway you like, it's a wedding so of course you are going to be all dressed up.

nope. Is it a formal wedding? I always wear updos. Sometimes I have them done, sometimes I do them myself.

majority of the weddings I go to, I wear my hair up & so do most of the younger guests! I don't see why you can't!

I don't think so- that is usually how I do my hair for weddings! I think it is just a common, formal way to wear hair!

Unless you're wearing the same dress as the bridesmaids, no one will be confused Wear your hair the way you feel most comfortable... IMO

I think it depends on the updo. I'd stay away from the fancy looking ones that a BP might wear.

A french twist is always nice. There's no law that says you can't have your hair done, go for it!

I think it's very nice of you to want to get your hair done for someone else's wedding. I don't think, however, that you should wear your veil

excellent point!
All the older women in my family got their hair done for my wedidng,and at least 1 of my friends did. I wore mine up for a freidns & did it myself & another friend of ours realized the night before it was going to be REALLY hot & made an appt. to get hers put up. She wasn't showing off, it would be neater that way, & she isn't good at doign it herself.
